Matthews picked up his fourth consecutive win on the season after taking the pole again with a time of 16.38 narrowly edging out Robert Bruce. Matthews would start sixth after the invert. Thanks to several cautions, one of which Mathews was almost involved in, it took Matthews 22 laps to get to the lead but once he got there, he drove away for his third win of the year. Less than 10 laps in, Mike Ganoe had a tire go down on the restart which caused him to slide up the track toward the wall. Matthews was outside of Ganoe but was able to keep his car out of the wall and drive away from Ganoe before he sustained to much damage. Rounding out the top three were Cameron Burke and Eddie Slagle.
The Truckin Thunder Virginia Racer Late Model division ran dual 60 lap features Saturday with Ryan Matthews taking both checkered flags making him the only winner in the class this season.
The second feature saw Matthews start eighth after the mandatory invert and unlike the first feature, it took him very little time to get out front. Twelve laps in he was back out front and was never really challenged for the lead other than a restart after a caution. Slagle and Burke rounded out the top three again and Ganoe had a nice comeback in the second feature coming home fourth. All four of them are in the top four in points early in the season with Matthews holding the lead.

Twin races were also on the schedule for the INEX legends division that saw its largest field ever at Dominion in what was a preview of INEX Nationals in early October at Dominion. Cameron Bolin took the pole but started fourth after the invert. Even though it was a 23 car field, the first feature ran caution free and saw Tommy Jackson who started on the pole after the invert, drive away for the win. Austin Thompson was second, Bolin third, and Conner Jones came from ninth to finish fourth.
In the second feature, Jones was able to get to the front early and drive away from Bolin to pick up the victory with Bolin coming home second and Mike Alcaro third.
The Alcova Mortgage Modfieds had twin features that saw Mike Rudy pick up the win in the first feature and Adam Medek take home the win in the second.
Also, in action were the Alcova Mortgage UCAR division that saw Mike Chapman take home the checkered flag and the INEX bandos that saw Kenton Case pick up a won. Saturday the 15th the Geico of Fredericksburg Late Models have twin 60 lap features, and the Alcova Mortgage Dominion Stocks, mini cups, mini stocks and Absolutely Amish Structure Any Car divisions are in action.
